AAPI Rising: Soul Care

We are so excited to host our first event of the year! Join us for Poetry in the Park on Saturday, March 11! Our Reproductive Justice Intern, Emma, will be facilitating this poetry writing workshop as part of our #AAPIRising: Soul Care series. Come out to meet our team and create with us!

This workshop will be a guided community session to tap into our creative writing and practice breaking through the mental blocks around free-flow writing. Enjoying the outdoors is a great place to start! We encourage all-level writers, poets, creative artists, and meditative beings to join us for this community mindfulness session.

As we are approaching March 16th, the second anniversary of the Atlanta spa shootings, we will begin this event with a community vigil and meditation. This vigil is in honor of the eight lives lost in Atlanta two years ago, the lives lost due to anti-Asian violence, and the generations of grief we carry and hold for our loved ones. We remember and grieve those who suffer in silence and whose names we may never know. We invite our community to heal and envision a future with us by tapping into generational strength and resilience.
