We are wrapping up the year with much still to do and more to share—but 2024 has given us a deep knowing.
Together, we cast spaces for dialogue, community support, and creativity—shifting our narratives from those of individual success to reclaiming power through interdependence and collective liberation.

☕ This year, we celebrated 2 years of Cha & Chat with the launch of our blog and digital space. We also preserved memories for our community by collaborating with local artists like Andrew Bui, who created an amazing video showcasing Cha and Chat, and Mattie Hanson @shenlestudio who photographed several of our gatherings.

🌱 We fostered community dialogue and solidarity through storytelling, teach-ins, and grounding practices. Storytellers @ma.rion.hnh, Carolyn Sideco of @bayoubarkada, and VAYLA intern Aanya Kapoor guided us in sharing our stories, we built solidarity in New Orleans and beyond through virtual teach-ins with @manava.o.moana, @nksamayoo, @beyonkz, and @domskeac and acupuncture offerings from @nada.nola helped us slow down and stay grounded.

🎙️ We expanded our multimedia experience through intern-led podcasts like Blossoming & Becoming and Our Bodies, Our Stories.

🌟 Collaborated for community preparedness through events like our Disaster Trivia with @EmergencyLegalResponders and Cha & Chat meet-ups, where we shared strategies with each other from tips on weathering the heat to strengthening our emergency preparedness.

🌿 Continued building connections by co-creating healing support and opportunities for connection with @nolanitemarket, @veggifarmcoop, and @songcdc. Spaces like @speakeasyfarm, @neworleanshealingcenter, and @hiballz.nola provided perfect backdrops to come together in community.

🎁 To close the year, let’s dream of a thriving, interconnected future—one where care and liberation are abundant. Let’s keep growing, nurturing, and creating together.
